The Girlie gift guide! - 2021 Edition

Written
One can never have too many presents (even if theres no occasion).

Sometimes us girlies are not materialistic and its the small things that matter the most. BUT the moment anything comes in the form of a present, anyones face will light up with those pearly whites. One thing for sure, is that I have learnt to appreciate the small things in life, whether it be a text/ phone call or even a secret present delivery.

Understandably it is lockdown in the UK so we cant get many things, unless you pre-order 3 weeks in advance - L O L

If you're looking for a gift to give to your loved one (mum, sister, friend, aunt, grandmothers), then this post is the one for you.

Simple yet Elegant
FLOWERS! You can never go wrong with any flowers, be it roses or those £10 bouquets from Tesco. Even though I have hay-fever (sometimes), ya girl loves her flowers. They bring a happiness and warmth you didn't think you needed.

For the Sweet one
Another gift that you can’t go wrong with is chocolates (or sweets) unless that person doesn’t have a sweet tooth or is on a strict diet (maybe me but SHHH). You could so swap for healthy alternatives such as choc covered rice crackers, low calorie snacks, or give healthy treats!
(Maybe add some champagne to add that class) - Only if you are above the age of 18 or 16 when accompanied by a responsible adult when drinking.

Pamper kit
Let's be honest, lockdown and maskne has had a negative affect on our skin, or you could be thankful for lockdown and the need of masks because it's opened our eyes for our skin types, - you pick.

Although, it does depend on  personal preference, whether you have oily, dry or combination skin like meee. Recently I have been loving the drug store skin care regime because my skin had been DRY especially my eyes and cheeks... LET ME TELL YOU, Vitamin C and E and all of the inbetween (supplements maybe) have helped my skin a lot. Oh and water!!

Anywho, back to the pamper kit, yeahhh, skin care is always a winner, go and make a mini hamper;
- Face masks (be it a clay, peel, or sheet mask)
- Face cream (Vitamin E - for dry skin)
- A little head band (gotta have a cute one to keep the hair back)
- Lip balm (Carmex Obvs)
- Hand Cream (the Hemp hand cream from Body shop is actually ITT), put it on over night, cover your hands with socks or cotton hand gloves, waking up in the morning with SMOOOOOOOOTH hands.
AND, if you're feeling generous then even a Hair care kit.
- shampoo, conditioner and hair serum.
I guarantee this is very useful yet a practical gift to give.

The Usual or a Change
PERFUMES. This is a usual present loads of people tend to give, you can never have too much makeup or perfumes.

One for the day, the night - Spring, Summer, Autumnal and Winter. Also, don't forget, the one for special occasions. My ultimate fave scents: Sandalwood, Musky, Fruity and Floral.

Just spend time with that special person
If I am completely honest, given a 'year' of being in lockdown, just spend time with that special person and tell them you appreciate them. Tell them to keep going and that you are proud of them. Never underestimate the power of words because they really could mean a lot to someone. Your small action of expressing your appreciation will go FAR!.
