 What I've learnt in my first 6 months as a Trainee Solicitor.

Finally, keep an active training record of your tasks. 

The SRA require all trainees to keep an active record, which needs to be signed off by our firms. 

There is a template of the record on the SRA website which sets references, tasks, what you learnt, how you can improve. 

This is a good way of keeping track of your files because you note down most things, I even state how I completed certain tasks or what I had to research before completing them.
